After many unforgettable RV trips with the family into Canada's wilderness playground, the future of the Campkin family changed forever.

"We had a great time and totally fell in love with the camping experience," says Brad Campkin, president and son of Campkin's founder, Mr. Laurie Campkin. "After plenty of discussion, my Dad decided this was the RV business for us!"

Laurie opened the RV Deaership, CedarWoods Trailers in 1973, then changed its name to Campkin's Camping Centre in 1977. Brad became a full partner in 1988 and, upon his father's passing, assumed day-to-day operations of the RV business in 1991.

Today, Campkin's Camping Centre is a bustling business with a superb selection of RVs, and related RV parts and RV service products, along with one of the largest parts inventories in the entire region!

Campkin's moved to its present location on Highway 12 in Myrtle Station Ontario (north Whitby) in 1989. The new location provided the space for a large RV showroom and an ample outside display area. Campkin's also boasts a unique new RV service facility. Every year the store has expanded with new products and a larger inventory of RV parts. In fact, Campkin's has the largest parts facility in the area with a service and parts department that is open year-round. The fact is, people come to Campkin's because they're virtually assured to get what they need.

It was a very good experience, all the staff from the RV sales people to the RV financing manager, the parts and service staff and not to forget the receptionist.
When we finally made up our mind, we tracked on over to meet Brendan. He was genuine, knowledgeable, open-minded and persistent. It was exactly what we had ordered and Brendan was as excited to see our RV as we were.

When we came in for our demo at the end of April, Ivan did our demo on the RV trailer. He was fantastic!! He showed us, in detail, all the workings and how to operate everything. Great guy and funny too!
